Danish KFOR Soldiers Donate Proceeds from DANCON-March

PRISTINA - Soldiers of the Danish Contingent, part of the NATO-led KFOR mission, handed over a donation of 6000€, revenues from the DANCON-march held on 12th April, to the local rugby collective "Revolution Rugby" in Pristina.

The "Revolution Rugby" collective consists of girls and young women from all parts and cultures of Kosovo, including Kosovo-Albanians, Kosovo-Serbs, Kososvo-Romas, Ashkalis, Turks, Egyptians, Goranis and Bosnians.

DANCON-march was planned, facilitated and executed in Camp Novo Selo by the Danish Guard Forces, with the intent of showing positive presence in the surrounding area as well as collecting donations for local institutions from the KFOR soldiers.

KFOR continues to implement its mandate - based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999 - to contribute to a safe and secure environment for all people and communities living in Kosovo and freedom of movement, at all times and impartially. KFOR works in close coordination with the Kosovo Police and the European Union Mission on Rule of Law in Kosovo (EULEX) in their respective roles as security responders.
