During the visit, COM KFOR shared his views on the current security situation across the region and underlined KFOR’s efforts on ensuring a safe and secure environment for all people living in Kosovo and in support to the EU-facilitated dialogue between Pristina and Belgrade.

In the afternoon, Hon. Chiesa met a delegation of Italian Contingent at “Casa Italia” in Camp Film City, to whom she addressed her appreciation for their constant commitment to Operation Joint Enterprise.

On second day of her visit to KFOR, Hon. Chiesa attended the RC-W change of command ceremony at camp "Villaggio Italia", then visited the Multinational Specialized Unit camp in Pristina, where she was briefed on MSU capabilities and ongoing activities.

KFOR continues to implement its mandate - based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999 - to contribute to a safe and secure environment for all people and communities living in Kosovo and freedom of movement, at all times and impartially. KFOR works in close coordination with the Kosovo Police and the European Union Mission on Rule of Law in Kosovo (EULEX) in their respective roles as security responders.
