COMKFOR welcomed the Deputy Commander of NATO ARF and NRDC-ITA

PRISTINA - The Commander of the NATO-led KFOR mission, Major General Enrico Barduani, welcomed the Deputy Commander of NATO Allied Reaction Force (ARF) and NATO Rapid Deployable Corps Italy , Major General Eldon Millar, at KFOR’s Headquarters, in Camp Film City, Pristina, for a two-days visit.

COM KFOR shared his views and assessments on the current security situation across the region, while Major General Millar presented the ARF capabilities.

During the first day, DCOM ARF visited the Regional Command West (RC-W) at Camp "Villaggio Italia” in Peja/Peć, where he was welcomed by RC-W Commander, Colonel Francesco Errico, and met with a Patrol from the Multinational Specialized Unit (MSU) at the Ibar/Ibër River Bridge in Mitrovica.

On the second day, Major General Millar visited Camp "Bondsteel", where he was welcomed by the Commander of Regional Command East (RC-E), Colonel Peter Helzer.

KFOR continues to implement its mandate - based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999 - to contribute to a safe and secure environment for all people and communities living in Kosovo and freedom of movement, at all times and impartially. KFOR works in close coordination with the Kosovo Police and the European Union Mission on Rule of Law in Kosovo (EULEX) in their respective roles as security responders.
