COMKFOR Hosts Iowa National Guard Adjutant General

PRISTINA - The Commander of the NATO-led KFOR mission, Major General Enrico Barduani, received today the State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Croatia,Ms. Andreja Metelko-Zgombić, at the KFOR Headquarters in Camp Film City, Pristina.

Ms. Metelko-Zgombic was accompanied by the Croatian Ambassador to Kosovo, Her Excellency Danijela Barišić.

The meeting provided a valuable opportunity for the KFOR Commander to share his vision on the current security situation in the region and to emphasise KFOR’s ongoing efforts to ensure a safe and secure environment for all people living in Kosovo.

Major General Barduani thanked Her Excellency Metelko-Zgombić for Croatia’s continued and valued contribution to KFOR since 2009 and its active role in promoting stability in the region.

KFOR continues to implement its mandate - based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999 - to contribute to a safe and secure environment for all people and communities living in Kosovo and freedom of movement, at all times and impartially. KFOR works in close coordination with the Kosovo Police and the European Union Mission on Rule of Law in Kosovo (EULEX) in their respective roles as security responders.
