COMKFOR Hosted a Meeting with the Ambassadors of KFOR Troop Contributing Countries

PRISTINA - The Commander of the NATO-led KFOR mission, Major General Enrico BARDUANI, hosted a meeting with the Ambassadors of all troop contributing countries, at KFOR Headquarters, in Camp Film City, Pristina.

The discussion covered a wide range of topics, including security trends across the region, the situation in Kosovo following the Assembly elections in February, the KFOR Commander’s recent meeting with Mr Sorensen (EU Special Representative for the EU-facilitated Dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina), and KFOR’s activities and cooperation with the International Community.

All of the participants reiterated the pivotal role played by KFOR in support of regional stability and the importance of unity of efforts towards lasting security for the benefit of all communities.

KFOR continues to implement its mandate — based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999 — to contribute to a safe and secure environment for all people and communities living in Kosovo and freedom of movement, at all times and impartially. KFOR works in close coordination with the Kosovo Police and the European Union Mission on Rule of Law in Kosovo (EULEX) in their respective roles as security responders.
