COMKFOR Honors Brigadier General Arthur Garffer for Distinguished Service

PRISTINA - The Commander of the NATO-led KFOR mission, Major General Enrico Barduani, awarded U.S. Army Brigadier General Arthur Garffer with the Non-Article 5 NATO Medal and the Italian Crisis Response Mission Medal in recognition of his outstanding dedication and contributions to the mission.

Brigadier General Garffer completed his tenure as Chief of Staff of the NATO-led KFOR mission, concluding nearly a year of distinguished service.

Major General Barduani commended Brigadier General Garffer for his exceptional leadership, professionalism, and commitment during his time as Chief of Staff of NATO’s longest-running mission.

KFOR continues to carry out its mandate—based on United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999—to contribute to a safe and secure environment for all communities in Kosovo and to ensure freedom of movement, impartially and at all times. KFOR operates in close coordination with the Kosovo Police and the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX), in their respective roles as security responders.
