KFOR personnel participated in the charity event "Run with Santa Claus"

PRISTINA - KFOR personnel, including the KFOR Commander, Major General Enrico Barduani, participated in the annual charity event Run with Santa Claus in Pristina City Centre. The annual event is in its 9th year and continues to expand each year.

The event is organized by 5 Cent Project, a Non-Government organization (NGO) to raise donations to help families’ in need and children under the care of the Oncology Department of Pristina Hospital.

Aware of the importance of the event, many KFOR soldiers wanted to help those in need with the aim of keeping the warmth, enthusiasm, closeness, togetherness, and value of Christmas burning in people's hearts.

KFOR continues to implement its mandate - based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999 - to contribute to a safe and secure environment for all people and communities living in Kosovo and freedom of movement, at all times and impartially. KFOR works in close coordination with the Kosovo Police and the European Union Mission on Rule of Law in Kosovo (EULEX) in their respective roles as security responders.
