KFOR, EULEX and Kosovo Police successfully conclude exercise “Golden Sabre 2024”

PRISTINA - The NATO-led KFOR mission, the European Union Mission on Rule of Law in Kosovo (EULEX) and the Kosovo Police (KP) on 25 November 2024 conducted their joint exercise “Golden Sabre 2024”. The three organizations tested their procedures on crowd control and crisis management.

“This exercise demonstrated our readiness to jointly tackle any security challenges and reflected our commitment to continued cooperation, for the benefit of all communities living in Kosovo and in support of regional stability,” – said Major General Enrico Barduani, KFOR’s Commander.

We thank the local communities for their understanding and support in the run up to and during the conduct of the exercise.

KFOR continues to implement its mandate - based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999 - to provide a safe and secure environment for all people and communities living in Kosovo and freedom of movement, at all times and impartially. KFOR works in close coordination with the Kosovo Police and the European Union Mission on Rule of Law (EULEX) in Kosovo in their respective roles as security responders.
