Golden Sabre 2024

PRISTINA - The NATO-led KFOR mission, the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX) and the Kosovo Police will conduct a joint exercise, “Golden Sabre 2024,” at Camp Vrelo (Pristina), on 25 November 2024.

The exercise will test the implementation of crisis management procedures, in different security scenarios. It will involve around 600 of personnel and assets across the exercise area in Pristina, as well as in its surroundings and along main routes. Local residents could thus expect to see a temporary increase in road traffic.

“Golden Sabre 2024” is another tangible demonstration of KFOR, EULEX and the Kosovo Police working together, in support to lasting security across Kosovo and regional stability.

KFOR continues to implement its mandate - based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999 - to contribute to a safe and secure environment for all people and communities living in Kosovo and freedom of movement, at all times and impartially. KFOR works in close coordination with the Kosovo Police and EULEX, in their respective roles as security responders.
