PRISTINA - KFOR International Day took place on 8th of July, at the KFOR Headquarters, Camp Film City in Pristina.

The event, organised annually by all 27 contributing nations of KFOR, is aimed to strengthen integration between international military personnel and local civilians with their families and contributes to promote cultural diversity within the mission as factor of success and growth.

Major General Angelo Michele Ristuccia, Commander of the NATO-led KFOR Mission, underlined in his speech: “here we are today, continuing to faithfully execute our mandate ensuring all ethnicities in Institutions in Kosovo have an opportunity to live in peace and security. It is an honourable mission and I trust that you are all very proud to be a part of it”.

KFOR remains fully focused on the daily implementation of its mandate – based on the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999 – to ensure a safe and secure environment and freedom of movement for all the people living in Kosovo.
