Medal Parade for Hungarian soldiers of KFOR HQ

PRISTINA -  KFOR Commander, Major General Ferenc KAJÁRI presided over the NATO Non-article 5 Balkans Medal for Hungarian soldiers of KFOR Headquarters in Pristina.

General KAJÁRI in his speech said: “I can safely say that my job as COM KFOR could never have been as successful, if it weren’t for the outstanding and selfless service of you. When we came here last October, I asked you to place your trust in one another. I asked you to make sure that whatever legacy we leave here, let it be the best it can possibly be. But even I could not foresee how much support I would receive from all of you. I truly, honestly thank you for your service”.

The NATO-led KFOR mission, along with the 27 Contributing Nations, continues to provide a safe environment and freedom of movement for all communities in Kosovo, under the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999.

The event was also attended by Dr. József BENCE, Ambassador of Hungary to Kosovo and a large number of KFOR HQs staff members and other distinguish guests were present.
