The Armenian Contingent's Change of Command ceremony

PRISTINA - The Armenian Contingent's Change of Command ceremony took place in Camp film City, KFOR HQ in Pristina. 

 KFOR Deputy Commander Brigadier General Günter SCHÖPF, presided over the ceremony and during his speech he praised all Armenian soldiers, expressing satisfaction and deep appreciation for the excellent results they achieved and their high commitment and dedication in conducting daily tasks, which was primarily providing security at Slatina military airport. 

The NATO Medal Parade concluded the ceremony, during which the Armenian soldiers were awarded the NATO Balkan Medal for having completed their six months deployment in KFOR. The NATO-led KFOR mission is NATO's longest-running operation and it represents a success story for the Alliance and its partners in providing a safe and secure environment and freedom of movement for all communities living in Kosovo.
