The ceremony was held in Camp Novo Selo, and was presided over by KFOR Commander, Major General Franco Federici, who took the opportunity to address the troops, expressing to all of them his appreciation and great satisfaction with their reliability and professionalism, provided whilst they performed their daily tasks. "Your constant efforts have considerably contributed to the NATO-led KFOR mission's success", COM KFOR concluded.

Within the NATO-KFOR mission, the KFOR Tactical Reserve Battalion fulfils an essential responsibility in contributing to guaranteeing a safe and secure environment and freedom of movement for all communities living in Kosovo, as mandated by United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244.
