PRISTINA - KFOR Commander, Major General Franco Federici, handed over the charity funds of 5,756 Euro, collected on the occasion of the "
" held on 18th of July, in which more than 140 KFOR soldiers and civilian employees have participated.
The initiative was organized by KFOR Gender Advisor Office in cooperation with the North Mitrovica's Mayor, mr. Milan Radojevic and the Deputy Mayor, Mrs. Adrijana HODZIC, to allow the students with special needs of "Kosovski Bozur" school to enjoy their vacation trip. During the COVID-19 pandemic and their compulsory absence due to the related restriction measures at the school, the children have been quite isolated in their homes.
KFOR Commander, addressing the participants said: "I'm pleased to meet with you and privileged to donate to your school the funds that my KFOR soldiers have enthusiastically collected for your benefit". General Federici also added: "It is really significant for KFOR to implement any achievable actions in providing substantial assistance to the communities living in Kosovo".
Before leaving the school KFOR Commander attended a genuine art program performed by the students. All participants of the event received the KFOR XXV bracelet engraved with the motto "As one we progress", from General Federici as a wish for a better future.
KFOR is continuing to support the development of a stable and peaceful Kosovo and it is performing its mission to ensure a better future, with special regards to the youth. For this reason, through its projects and donation, KFOR will continue to dedicate its efforts in supporting any initiative that might improve the future of the population, with a special eye for the youngest generation.
