KFOR DONATED TO DRAGANAC MONASTERY

PRISTINA – Don Stefano Tollu, KFOR Head Chaplain donated 250kg of food stuffs to the Draganac Monastery for distribution to the local communities which was raised by the Camp Film City congregation. This donation will be used to help those in the community most directly impacted by the economic hardships of the COVID-19 pandemic in the Eastern part of Kosovo.

The donation was also attended by KFOR Commander, Major General Franco Federici, who visited the Monastery and met with the Igumen, Father Ilarion.

During the meeting, they discussed about the current situation in the region and how COVID-19 is impacting all elements of the local community. COMKFOR explored possible Civilian-Military cooperation opportunities with Father Ilarion, in order to identify possible avenues for KFOR to further assist in order to ease the burden on the local communities.

KFOR remains committed to ensuring a safe and secure environment and freedom of movement for all communities in KFOR in accordance with UNSCR 1244 of 1999.
