PRISTINA - KFOR Deputy Commander Brigadier General Günter Schöpf, presided over the Change of Command ceremony of the Joint Logistic Support Group (JLSG) held at the KFOR HQ in Pristina.

The outgoing Commander, Colonel Markus Reisner, handed over the KFOR JLSG Command to his peer Siegfried Skudnigg. General Schöpf, during his speech, remarked the essential contribution made to the NATO-led KFOR mission by the Joint Logistic Support Group personnel belonging to 15 Nations who have been working in KFOR HQ and in its subordinate units. The JLSG represents the main link between NATO's "Over The Horizon Forces" and KFOR's; it is a Unit able to manage its variety of assets and capabilities in facing any threat that could hamper the KFOR mission.

KFOR is the NATO's longest-running operation. NATO-led KFOR mission mandate remains to ensure a safe and secure environment and freedom of movement for all communities.
