The Italian Minister of Defence visited KFOR


PRISTINA - The Italian Minister of Defence, Mr. Lorenzo Guerini met in Pristina with the KFOR Commander, Major General Franco Federici, to whom he expressed his appreciations for the unbroken commitment of KFOR soldiers in guaranteeing security and freedom of movement to the Kosovar population. 

Major General Federici briefed Minister Guerini on the operational and security situation in Kosovo underlining the positive and close cooperation that KFOR has with the local institutions; emphasizing the support given to all communities, within means and capabilities, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, through the donation of personal protective equipment and the delivery of food and clothes to families in need, in coordination with the other international organizations in Kosovo. 

 Minister Guerini had also a bilateral meeting with the Minister of Defence of Kosovo, Anton Quni during which he reiterated the Italian unchanged commitment to the Western Balkans. Mr Quni expressed his appreciation to the Italian Minister for the significant contribution made by the Italian contingents.
