Pristina - During past days, the Kosovo Emergency Management Agency Headquarters hosted the second KFOR-led workshop in preparation for the disaster relief exercise “Silver Sabre 2020”, that will begin in the end of September 2020.

The planning process to construct a disaster relief exercise such as “Silver Sabre” is very complex and it requires a lot of coordination among all the participants. Of utmost importance during the preparation phase is that techniques and procedures are shared, increasing the common

knowledge and the understanding among the different Institutions involved.

The KFOR-led workshop, other than defining the different locations where the exercise will take place, also allowed the identification of different skills and capabilities that will be tested during “Silver Sabre”. The event has been attended by representatives from Kosovo Security Council, Kosovo Emergency Management Agency, Kosovo Police, Kosovo Security Forces, Kosovo Red Cross and EULEX.
