KOSOVO POLICE IN THE FRONT LINE AGAINST COVID19

PRISTINA - Thousands Kosovo Police officers are committed every day to counter Covid19 pandemic and are playing a major role in the response to the pandemic to the benefit of all citizens.

During these months, the Kosovo Police cooperated and coordinated with central and local authorities to harmonize their respective actions. More than six thousands of Kosovo Police officers were engaged in 24/7 preventive patrols, in providing security at main medical agencies and facilities, in setting up checkpoints at 63 municipal areas in quarantine, and checking the implementation of preventative measures.

A tremendous effort to which the NATO-led KFOR mission contributed with its forces and through the provision of personal protection equipment to some Kosovo Police stations. A public photo exhibition has paid tribute to the relentless and professional work of the men and women of the Kosovo Police: “Blue uniform during the COVID-19 pandemic" has been staged in the Skënderbeu square in Prishtina, featuring two billboards full of pictures showing the activities that the Kosovo Police has carried out and continues to carry out against Covid19.

The exhibition was the initiative of the non-governmental organization "Culturat", in partnership with the Kosovo Police.
