KFOR SUPPORT NGO HELPING DISABLED PEOPLE

PRISTINA - US Soldiers of KFOR Regional Command East delivered air conditioning systems to Handikos, a Non-Governmental Organization of Kosovo that provides physiotherapy and other treatments to disabled persons.

Last year, through various projects Handikos supported 78 children and 97 adults in the Pristina region, from all ethnic groups.

Mr. Behxhet Binaku, Handikos Gllogoc/Glogovac center’s director, thanked Colonel Noel Hoback for the donation, which will improve working conditions of operators and bring benefit to the NGO’s local activities.

The equipment was funded by NATO in the framework of the assistance impartially provided by KFOR, and was implemented by the Civil-Military Cooperation Staff of the Headquarters.

KFOR is supporting institutions and organizations committed to helping citizens regardless of their ethnicity, and is focusing its support in the fields of education and health. The NATO-led operation is contributing to the local response to Covid19 through the provision of personal protection equipment and by facilitating assistance projects carried out by Allied and Partner Nations.
