KFOR DONATES NEW PLAYGROUND TO PRIMARY SCHOOL

PRISTINA - Soldiers of the US-led KFOR Regional Command East donated yesterday a new playground to the "Osman Rama" primary school. Col. Noel Hoback, deputy commander for KFOR Regional Command East presided over the ceremony and cut the ribbon together with teachers and pupils.

The playground will help the school and the kids to build their social skills and learn to be friendly to each other.
Arjeta Begu, a teacher, thanked KFOR, highlighting that "the playground will help the school and the kids to build their social skills and learn to be friendly to each other."

In the framework of its impartial security mission, KFOR is also supporting the education institutions in Kosovo through a number of projects whose goal is to promote communities that get along.

The playground project was funded by NATO and was implemented by KFOR’s Civil-Military Cooperation Team, while the Swiss Liaison Monitoring Team assisted by organizing the inauguration and installing new basketball netting.
