KFOR DELIVERED MEDICAL EQUIPMENT TO HEALTH CENTER IN NORTHERN KOSOVO

PRISTINA - US and Greek Soldiers of KFOR delivered medical instruments and equipment including a sterilizer, an electrocardiogram, glucose monitoring systems and other diagnostic tools to the local health centre in Zervnicë/Zervnica, in northern Kosovo.

The donation is part of the assistance impartially provided by Civil-Military Cooperation branch of the NATO–led operation to local institutions and communities, to improve the welfare of all citizens.

Doctor Mrjana Blagojević – the deputy director of Mitrovica’s Regional Hospital – thanked members of the US-led Regional Command East and of the Greek Liaison and Monitoring Team for the continuous support provided by KFOR to local health institutions, especially amidst COVID 19.

Since the outbreak of the pandemic in Kosovo, KFOR has regularly conducted its security tasks while contributing to the local response to COVID19 through the supply of personal protection equipment and the sanitization of public facilities.

KFOR also facilitated the delivery of aid to the Institutions in Kosovo by NATO Allied and Partner countries, including Hungary, Germany, Italy, Poland, Slovenia, Turkey and Austria.
