PRISTINA - Italian Soldiers of KFOR Regional Command West upgraded the medical oxygen generator located at the regional hospital of Prizren.

The health facility serves over 240,000 citizens in a municipality among the most severely hit by the Covid19 pandemic and the new plant will remarkably increase the treatment capabilities for Covid19 patients thanks to its 18 cubic meters/hour capacity.

The project was funded by the Italian Ministry of Defence and was implemented by the 5th artillery regiment “Superga” of the Italian Army.

KFOR is contributing to the local response to Covid19 through the donation of personal protection equipment and by facilitating the delivery of aid by NATO allied and partner nations.
