KFOR Soldiers have presented yesterday evening a check of 9,000 US Dollars to the "Prenk Jakova" School of Music in downtown Pristina.
Over the past few months, KFOR Service Members from several nations under the lead of the US National Support Element planned events, contacted family and friends, and donated time and resources to raise money for the school, which started operating in 1949.
It has a section of piano, violin, guitar, winds and soloing and is attended by girls and boys belonging to all Kosovo communities. The donation took place at the end of a holiday concert performed by the students for KFOR personnel, Government Officials, family and friends.
KFOR supports the development of the Kosovo civil society, with a special focus on youth, through Civil-Military Cooperation projects, donations and other initiatives.
