“When helping unifies” in Silver Sabre 2018-2

Pristina - The final coordination conference for the Exercise Silver Sabre 2018-2, took place today, September 12, at KFOR Headquarters. This exercise, as one of the most important training activities conducted and led by KFOR, will be held throughout 15th to 18th of October in Camp Film City.

"When helping unifies” is the motto chosen for the Silver Sabre 2018 – 2, as it brings together more than 2000 participants from 17 Kosovo institutions, multiple international organizations, KFOR, NATO Advisory Liaison Team (NALT), EULEX, and UN. This exercise aims to facilitate training for emergency situations involving inter-institutional coordination, familiarization with large-scale incident management procedures, and situational management before and after the declaration of emergency, in order to contribute to local capacity building and improve the level of coordination between all the stakeholders in Kosovo.

Silver Sabre 2018-2 will provide all participating agencies the opportunity to revise response documentation used during emergency situations, improve mutual understanding of roles and responsibilities on decision preparation, decision making and coordination of efforts and identify areas of concern and actions needed to improve capabilities in order to save lives during a national emergency.
