The Irish Minister of State at the Departments of the Taoiseach and Defence visited KFOR


Pristina - COMKFOR, Major General Salvatore Cuoci, received the visit of Mr. Paul Kehoe T.D., the Irish Minister of State at the Departments of the Taoiseach and Defence with special responsibility for Defence.

During their meeting they discussed the security situation and future activities to ensure a safe and secure environment and freedom of movement in accordance with KFORs mandate. General Cuoci also thanked Minister Kehoe for the support that his Nation has been providing to KFOR.

Minister Kehoe expressed his appreciation regarding the involvement of Irish troops in KFOR since 1999, particular the Irish troops holding key positions within KFOR’s HQ today. Minister Kehoe acknowledged the enormous strides KFOR has accomplished since its arrival and wished COMKFOR continuing success for the remainder of his and KFORs mission.
