The Chief of the Italian Army General Staff visited KFOR


The Chief of the Italian Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Salvatore Farina, visited today the Kosovo Force Headquarters where he was welcomed by KFOR Commander, Major General Salvatore Cuoci.

Lieutenant General Salvatore Farina, who was was the eighteenth KFOR Commander who served his tour of duty in Kosovo during the years 2013 – 2014, was initially briefed on the latest developments in the security and socio-political situation in Kosovo. Major General Cuoci and his Staff in particular highlighted the results of current operations and the continuous efforts throughout the region to drive enhanced progress toward stability.

During their meeting General Farina and General Cuoci recalled and highlighted significant outcomes achieved in maintaining the security and stability in Kosovo, while pursuing their mottos as KFOR Commanders, "More Together” and "Enduring Commitment” respectively.

Moreover, during his visit General Farina attended several meetings with Kosovo civil and religious authorities discussing the importance of the stability in the area.

General Farina concluded his trip in Kosovo thanking the Italian personnel committed in KFOR since 1999.
