KFOR welcomes the New Greek Contingent


Pristina- KFOR Deputy Commander, Brigadier General János Csombók, presided over the Greek Transfer of Authority Ceremony and Medal Parade at Camp Film City. The outgoing contingent, commanded by Captain Charalampos Argyris, left the floor to the incoming one leaded by Major Kostantinos Kokkinos.

The ceremony was attended by KFOR Commander, General Salvatore CUOCI, all Senior National Representatives and KFOR Headquarter personnel.

During the event, Brigadier General Csombók, thanked the Hellenic personnel for their high professionalism and allegiance. The ceremony continued with COMKFOR delivering his address to the assembled troops, before presenting the Greek Contingent with the NATO Balkan Medal.

"Euxaristo (Thank you), for doing your part in support of KFOR, and let our motto, Enduring Commitment, always remind you of this period of your life" said Major General CUOCI.

Since KFOR was set up, Greece has been an important contributing Nation. Its soldiers perform key roles providing security in Camp Film City and as Liaison and Monitoring Teams (LMT), as part of Joint Regional Detachment North (JRD-N).
