KFOR and KSF reopen the bridge over Sitnica River in Mitrovica


Pristina - COMKFOR, Major General Salvatore CUOCI and KSF Commander, Lieutenant General Rrahman Rama attended the ribbon cutting ceremony on Mabey Johnson Bridge in Mitrovica.

This is a military bridge, KFOR property, built by the French engineers in 2002, located in MSR HEN, and it increases the freedom of movement to DOG 31. The type of the bridge is Mabey Johnson, with maximum load capacity 80 tons, and length 45.72m.

The repair work has been funded and supervised by KFOR, while the work has been executed by the KSF Engineering battalion. KSF in total has deployed 13 people from the bridges squad and six vehicles.

  With this joint operation, KFOR continues helping the improvement of Kosovo Security Force’s capability in accordance with its current mission and KSF demonstrated the professional expertise in such kind of operation.

COMKFOR expressed his deep appreciation for the excellent job while KSF Commander, thanking General CUOCI for his support, has been very proud for the professional level achieved by KSF personnel.
