KFOR and KSF cooperate in a EOD activity

Pristina - KFOR Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Teams in close cooperation with Kosovo Security Forces assets conducted a combined demolition activity of Explosive Remnants of War.

The operation took place between 7 and 9 November in Gerbesh demolition site and was divided in two phases on both days. First to occur was the preparation phase during which the KFOR onsite Commander briefed all attendees on the basic safety rules to respect during the activity.

After that, KFOR and KSF EOD personnel prepared for the disposal. They fixed the ammunition on the spot, set donor charges and connected the trigger mechanism. To conclude the KFOR onsite Commander executed the demolition, releasing the trigger to dispose of the Explosive Ordnance Disposal.

This activity was an opportunity to increase the good cooperation between KFOR and KSF under their mandate of civil protection. KFOR and KSF are working together with commitment and professionalism in order to keep a safer environment for all citizens in Kosovo.
