German Chief of Defence visited KFOR

Pristina - KFOR Commander, Major General Salvatore Cuoci, welcomed the Chief of Defence of German Armed Forces, General Eberhard Zorn, in Camp Film City.

During his visit, General Zorn was briefed by General Cuoci on the security situation and the main recent issues in Kosovo and in the Western Balkans Area. They also discussed about the challenges the mission will deal with in the upcoming months, and the way KFOR’s work will be affected as a result.

COMKFOR took also the opportunity to thank Gen. Zorn for the continuous contribution of Germany to KFOR’s efforts. In particular he highlighted the expertise, the professionalism and the dedication of German soldiers.

Germany is still one of the strongest contributing nation in KFOR. In the past there were six German KFOR Commanders. Currently, German soldiers are mostly employed in Headquarter roles. In addition to KFOR, Germany has been involved in the NATO Advisory and Liaison Team (NALT) that maintains a very close cooperation with KFOR.
