Exercise Silver Sabre 2018 - 2
Pristina - KFOR is hosting the exercise Silver Sabre 2018–2 in "Camp Film City”, in close
cooperation with NATO Advisory and Liaison Team, UN and EULEX. During the exercise
17 Kosovo Institutions, Agencies and Organisations are involved in developing
procedures and synergies regarding their own role dealing with an emergency situation.
Silver Sabre 2018–2 has to be considered a unique opportunity to bring together all the
relevant actors and organizations responsible for the safety of all citizens in Kosovo in
case of natural disasters and big scale emergencies. Main aim of the exercise is to
harmonize and increase the cooperation among the Kosovo Institutions, Agencies and
Organisations when such crises arise.
The joint and international effort to improve Kosovo capabilities for all its citizens’ benefit
is assured by the contribution of personnel of the UK’s 77 th Brigade and a training team
from Public Affairs Regional Center in Skopje. They are acting as mentors to the
participants in training Key Leaders Engagement, communications, media management,
command and control, staff procedures and decision making process, in order to handle
complex and challenging scenarios.
In addition, to make the exercise more realistic, students from AAB College perform the
role of journalists.
