COMKFOR VISIT IN MITROVICA

Pristina - KFOR Commander, Major General Lorenzo D’Addario, paid his first official visit to the Mayor of Mitrovica South, Mr. Agim Bahtiri, and the President of the Serb List, Mr. Goran Rakic.

During the first meeting COMKFOR and Mr. Bahtiri took the opportunity to discuss the current situation in the area. General D’Addario and Mr. Bahtiri underlined the importance of working together in order to guarantee a better future for all people in Kosovo.

After this meeting KFOR Commander met the President of the Serb List, Mr. Goran Rakic. They spoke about the latest development of the situation highlighting the role played by KFOR troops. COMKFOR and Mr. Rakic agreed on the importance to maintain a line of communication between each other in order to preserve the stability in the area.

In both meetings, COMKFOR stressed the importance of mutual cooperation and he renewed the daily commitment of KFOR in order to keep a safe and secure environment all over Kosovo.
