A leisure point where to “stay together, play together and live together”


Pristina - KFOR personnel and a delegation of Mitrovica North Municipality organised a basketball match in order to inaugurate the new multi-purposed pitch in the district known as Bosniak Mahala.

The event was marked with the meeting between the young residents of the area, the local authorities and KFOR soldiers that, despite the bad weather, shared this joyful moment playing and smiling together in a friendly and relaxed environment.

The Civil Military cooperation (CIMIC) project strongly desired by KFOR was put in place by a local company that, after cleaning the surrounding area of the sport field, repaired the existing facilities reusable and installed the ones by the time outdated.

Ms. Adrijana Hodžić, Principal Executive Director in Municipality in Mitrovica North, sincerely expressed her gratitude and appreciation to KFOR for its support in this important initiative for the young generation. "Thank you a lot for this concrete support. This is an opportunity for everyone to play together and also to start living together”, said Ms. Hodžić.

KFOR wished to create a leisure point where to "stay together, play together and live together”. Youngster, adults from Bosniak Mahala and not only will have a place where to spend their free time, enjoying with sports activities avoiding any kind of difference. This CIMIC project is a good example how KFOR is contributing to any initiative that might improve the future of the population, with a special eye for the youngest generation.
