The Defence Minister of the Republic of ALBANIA visited COMKFOR

PRISTINA - KFOR Commander, Major General Salvatore CUOCI, today received the visit of Ms. Olta XHACKA, Defence Minister of the Republic of ALBANIA.

After an overall picture about the security and political situation in the region, they talked about the role of KFOR in supporting the development of a stable, democratic, multi- ethnic and peaceful Kosovo, where Albania, as NATO member since 2009, contributes to the Kosovo Force (KFOR) employing soldiers in relevant assets.

Major General CUOCI expressed the appreciation for the commitment and professionalism of the Albanian Contingent and highlighted the importance of their presence in the region where KFOR contributes to maintain a safe and secure environment and freedom of movement, in accordance with its current mandate.

The Ministry Olta XHACKA thanked KFOR Commander for the great cooperation she saw among Albania and the other 27 nations operating in Kosovo, believing that KFOR XXII, through its "ENDURING COMMITMENT” will accomplish the mission in the better way.
