Secretary of State at the German Federal MoD visited KFOR

PRISTINA - KFOR Commander, Major General Giovanni FUNGO, welcomed the Secretary of State of the German Federal Ministry of Defence, Dr. Katrin SUDER, at KFOR HQ.

During the meeting, COMKFOR briefed the Secretary of State of the German Federal Ministry of Defence about the overall security and political situation in Kosovo. They also spoke about Kosovo Security Forces marking improvement of their professional capability.

Moreover, MG FUNGO expressed gratitude for the continuous contribution of Germany to KFOR. Professionalism and dedication of the German Service members is highly appreciated and their comprehensive approach in the civilian and military field is very valuable.

Throughout 18 years of mission, more than 8300 members of the German Armed Forces served in KFOR. Germany remains committed to KFOR with relevant staff positions inside the HQ and also supports the KSF by providing training assistance and equipment.
