NATO Secretary General visit KFOR



PRISTINA, 03rd February 2017 – Today, the NATO Secretary General, H.E. Mr. Jens Stoltenberg visited KFOR HQ in Pristina.

KFOR Commander, Major General Giovanni Fungo, accompanied by Admiral Michelle Howard, Commander of Allied Joint Force Command Naples, welcomed the NATO Secretary General, H.E. Mr. Jens Stoltenberg, at Camp "Film City” NATO KFOR Headquarters in Pristina.

Mr. Stoltenberg met with the Representatives of the International Community in Kosovo, namely UNMIK Special Representative of Secretary General, EU Special Representative, EULEX Head of Mission, and the OSCE Head of Mission. During these talks, he underlined the importance of the comprehensive approach and the mutual cooperation among the International Community Organizations in order to enhance the stability and the overall security of the Kosovo.

During the visit, NATO Secretary General also had the opportunity to speak to KFOR service-members deployed in Camp "Film City”. He expressed his pride for the excellent results achieved by KFOR, in improving the overall security situation in Kosovo, thanks to the professionalism, dedication and devotion of its soldiers.

In particular, it was highlighted the important results achieved by KFOR to ensure a secure environment, thus allowing the development of better social and economic conditions for all citizens of Kosovo.
