Mini Olympics 2017


PRISTINA - COMKFOR, Major General Giovanni FUNGO attended the Mini Olympics 2017,  organized by OSCE and supported by KFOR, at the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety (KAPS), in Vushtrri/Vucitrn.

Many people with special needs from different Kosovo communities participated in the two-day Mini-Olympic Games 2017. Supported by cheering family members, local and international institutions, Kosovo Police, and volunteers from the OSCE, KFOR, and EULEX, athletes with special needs performed various sport activities. The Mini-Olympic Games are organized to raise awareness on inclusion and equality, provide opportunity to people with special needs to engage in sport activities and show their talents.

The OSCE Mission initiated this annual event and patroned it throughout the years. KFOR, together with IC, GOs and NGOs, emphasizes the role of Kosovo Paralympics Committee supporting all the initiatives aimed at improving integration and integration.
