KFOR and EULEX conduct a Joint Medical Evacuation Exercise

PRISTINA - KFOR, in close cooperation with EULEX, organized and conducted a multifaceted Medical Evacuation (MEDEVAC) exercise in the area of MITROVICA NORTH.

The exercise included Greek and Swiss Liaison Monitoring Team (LMT) personnel from Joint Regional Detachment – North (JRD-N) and Multinational Battle Group – East (MNBG-E) Heli Assets, as well as Polish Police and emergency response personnel from EULEX.

The aim of the exercise was to test the interoperability and operational procedures of KFOR and EULEX personnel in an emergency situation which comprised of multiple personnel requiring immediate medical evacuation from an isolated location.

The training was a follow-up exercise from an earlier Air MEDEVAC field training exercise conducted on 29 June 2017, in which EULEX members were present in an observational capacity.
