HUN Minister of Defence visited KFOR


Pristina - KFOR Commander, Major General Salvatore CUOCI, received the visit of Mr. István SIMICSKÓ, HUN Minister of Defence.

After an overall picture about the security and political situation in the region, they talked about the role of KFOR in supporting the development of a stable, democratic, multi- ethnic and peaceful Kosovo, where Hungary, as NATO member since 1999, contributes to the Kosovo Force (KFOR) employing soldiers in relevant assets.

Major General CUOCI expressed the appreciation for the commitment and professionalism of the Hungarian Contingent and underlined the importance of their presence in the region where KFOR contributes to maintain a safe and secure environment and freedom of movement, in accordance with its current mandate.

The Ministry István SIMICSKÓ thanked General CUOCI for the great cooperation believing that KFOR XXII, through its "ENDURING COMMITMENT”, will continue to fulfill its mission professionally and in accordance with its mandate.
