EUFOR Commander, General Friedrich Schrötter, visited KFOR

PRISTINA, Kosovo – KFOR Commander, Major General Giovanni Fungo received on Tuesday, February 28, the Commander of the European Union Force - EUFOR - Major General Friedrich Schrötter for a two-day visit.

During his stay, COMEUFOR had the opportunity to discuss with the KFOR Commander, Major General Giovanni Fungo and with the Deputy COMKFOR, General Christian Riener about the current situation in Kosovo and the KFOR mission goals.

The meetings were held in the KFOR headquarters, Camp Film City, and involved also the staff of COMKFOR.

Especially, it was highlighted the important role played by KFOR Mission, opened on 24 March of 1999, in maintaining a safe environment to ensure freedom of movement all over the region, according to the NATO resolution 1244 and the following Technical Military Agreement.

COMEUFOR's visit ended on Wednesday, after meeting with Deputy COMKFOR.
