COMKFOR joined a patrol with MNBG-W and KBP on the Administrative Boundary Line
PRISITNA – On Wednesday, April 26th, KFOR Commander, Major General Giovanni FUNGO, joined a patrol along the Administrative Boundary Line between Kosovo and Serbia.
The patrol was carried out by the Italian-led Multinational Battle Group West and the Kosovo Border Police in vicinity of Istok.
The activity was performed within a wider framework of monitoring activities aimed to prevent illegal trafficking and control the boundary area. With his presence, COMKFOR highlighted the importance of cooperation and interoperability, within the mandate of UNSC Resolution 1244, between NATO troops and Kosovo Police that acts as first responder all over Kosovo.
