Chief of Defence of Montenegro visited KFOR

PRISTINA – KFOR Commander, Major General Giovanni FUNGO, met the Chief of Defence of Montenegro, Lieutenant General Ljubisa JOKIC, at KFOR Headquarters.

This is General JOKIC’s first official high-level visit after Montenegro became the newest member of NATO.

On the occasion of General JOKIC’s visit, General FUNGO expressed his congratulations on Montenegro`s accession to NATO, a benchmark in the history of this nation. COMKFOR also underlined NATO’s presence in Kosovo as essential to provide security and stability in the region.

This event is organized within the framework of high level meetings between COMKFOR and representatives of the neighbouring countries that are essential for a fruitful exchange of information and a better understanding of KFOR mandate and activities in accordance with UN Security Council Resolution 1244.
