Assistant Chief of Staff of the Irish Defence Forces visited KFOR

PRISTINA - KFOR Commander, Major General Giovanni FUNGO, welcomed the Assistant Chief of Staff of the Irish Defence Forces, Brigadier General Peter O'HALLORAN, at KFOR HQ.

During the office call, MG FUNGO and BG O'HALLORAN discussed the overall situation in Kosovo. COMKFOR underlined the importance of KFOR mission in providing Safe and Secure Environment and guarantee Freedom of Movement to all people as necessary pre-conditions for implementation of efforts aimed to normalization process.

The meeting was also an opportunity for KFOR Commander to praise the contribution of the Irish contingent that has been serving within the KFOR HQ. Professionalism and commitment of Irish Service members in the mission's everyday work is much appreciated, COMKFOR underlined.
