Statement by the KFOR Spokesperson

PRISTINA, Kosovo - Germany remains fully committed to KFOR.

Since 1999, Germany has been a staunch troop contributor to the NATO-led KFOR mission. This commitment continues. The German contingent remains the 3rd largest KFOR contributor.

KFOR continues its activities to preserve a safe and secure environment and to guarantee freedom of movement for all the people of Kosovo, in accordance with its mandate under UNSC Resolution 1244.

Any decision on the KFOR future force posture will be taken by the North Atlantic Council and will remain based on the security conditions on the ground.
