Slovenian Contingent transfer of authority marked in "Villaggio Italia"

PEJA, Kosovo– Slovenian Contingent in the Italian-led Multinational Battle Group West on Tuesday marked its Transfer of Authority ceremony at Camp "Villaggio Italia”.

The ceremony was attended by COMKFOR, Major General Giovanni FUNGO, the Slovenian Ambassador to Kosovo, H.E. Milijan MAJHEN, and the Commander of the Slovenian Armed Forces Joint Operation Centre, Brigadier General Klemen MEDJA.

The outgoing Contingent Commander and MNBG-W Deputy Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Franc KALIC, thanked his personnel for their professionalism and outstanding efforts in achieving KFOR goals.

The incoming Slovenian Contingent, headed by Lieutenant Colonel Miha KUHAR, will continue to carry out its operational tasks within the UNSC Resolution 1244 mandate.
