7 JUL 2016 PRISTINA, Kosovo. Today, Major General Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta received the Chief of the Swiss Armed Forces, Lieuteneat General Andrè Blattmann, at the KFOR Headquarters in Camp "Film City”.

 

During the meeting, the high ranking Officers discussed the overall security situation in Kosovo and the considerable contribution provided by the Swiss contingent to KFOR in maintaining a stable level of security throughout Kosovo.

 

General Miglietta remarked that KFOR’s mission remains unchanged and any future change to KFOR’s force posture will be based on careful analysis of the conditions on the ground.

 

Currently, Swiss troops in Kosovo are mostly deployed in the Joint Regional Detachment – North, as lead Nation as well as engineering component and KFOR HQ Staff Officers. Additionally, a Swiss helicopter asset, as part of the KFOR Aviation Detachment, is deployed at the Rotary Wing Deployed Operating Base (RWDOB) in Pristina.
