SWEDISH PARLIAMENT’S DELEGATION TO THE NATO PARLIAMENTARY ASSEMBLY VISIT KFOR HQ


PRISTINA, Kosovo. The Swedish Parliament’s delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly today visited Kosovo Force Headquarters at Camp "Film City,” in Pristina.

The delegation led by Mr. Björn von Sydow, accompanied by the Ambassador of Sweden to FYROM 1 and accredited to Kosovo and Albania, Mr. Mats Arne Staffanson, was welcomed by KFOR Commander, Major General Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta.

During the meeting the current situation in Kosovo as well as the wider Balkans region was discussed. They agreed that KFOR’s mandate still remains important to the implementation of the ongoing stabilization process in the region.

The Swedish delegation agreed on the importance of KFOR’s presence to preserve a safe and secure environment and guarantee freedom of movement for all people in Kosovo.
