SLOVENIAN DEFENSE OFFICIALS WELCOMED TO KFOR


PRISTINA, Kosovo. Today, State Secretary of the Slovenian Ministry of Defence, Mr. Miloš Bizjak, was welcomed at Camp "Film City”, in KFOR Headquarters, by the Commander, General Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta. The delegation included the Slovenian Ambassador in Kosovo, Mr. Smiljan Majcen.

The visit provided the opportunity to discuss the overall situation in Kosovo, in particular focusing on security aspects in Kosovo as well as in the Balkan region. They agreed on the importance of KFOR’s presence to preserve a safe and secure environment and guarantee freedom of movement for all people in Kosovo.

Mr. Bizjak confirmed that "Slovenia is fully committed to maintaining stability in Kosovo and it will continue to sustain KFOR for a peaceful Kosovo”.

General Miglietta emphasized the high professionalism of the Slovenian soldiers in accomplishing KFOR’s mandate, since the beginning of the mission.

Slovenian troops are deployed across Kosovo as part of Multinational Battle Groups, Joint Regional Detachment North and Centre, helicopter assets and as members of KFOR HQ Staff too.
