SLOVENIAN AMBASSADOR VISIT TO KFOR HQ

Pristina, 31^st October. KFOR Commander, Major General Giovanni Fungo welcomed H.E. Miljan Majhen, Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenian to Kosovo, at Camp "Film City” NATO KFOR Headquarters in Pristina.

COMKFOR and Ambassador Majhen discussed the overall situation in Kosovo and the recent developments in the western Balkan region. The meeting was also an opportunity for General Fungo to express the effectiveness of Slovenian contribution in ensuring a safe and secure environment and freedom of movement in Kosovo, according to UN resolution 1244.

Currently, Slovenian troops are deployed across Kosovo as part of Multinational Battle Groups, Joint Regional Detachment - North and Centre and as members of KFOR HQ Staff.

Ambassador Majhen congratulated with General Fungo for the new prestigious appointment as 21^st KFOR Commander and he confirmed the commitment of Slovenia in support of KFOR mission.
